An Open Letter To Abigail
My darling Abigail, this past weekend, we celebrated your first birthday and thanked God for this first year of life with you. Because you are so very loved, many people came to see you and be with you.
First, your Uncle David and Aunt Jennifer came. They kissed you and hugged you and even played lots of games of tea party with your sister. (See below.)
Your Grandpa and Grandma Habgood also come. They drove from a far away city called Bedford to celebrate with you. They were so happy to see you and didn't even mind when you cried.
Next, your Siti and Ghido arrived, and they had nothing but hugs and kisses. They are some of your biggest fans and couldn't have been happier to be in your home on your birthday. Your Ghido even brought you a penguin from Antartica. You'll have to ask him about that trip one day.
Sweet girl, God has given you such a loving family; you are truly blessed. May you always be thankful for the gift of a kind and loving family, and may you learn to give back to this family that has given you so much!

You are all such a sweet family!
I'll just add my love to that letter, Sweet Abigail. It was a joy to celebrate your birthday. You are so precious to your Siti and Ghido and we wouldn't have been anywhere else but at your birthday party.
What a lovely letter to sweet Abigail! She truly is precious and blessed to have such a wonderful, caring family!
Thanks for the sweet words on our blog :) And you heard correct...Jon and I are Settlers fanatics and ALWAYS up for some game-playing...especially if it's with you!
Abigail- your Auntie Em, Uncle Josh, Rebekah, and Luke (not to mention Sr. Misterioso) are so sorry not have been able to attend. How are you ONE already?! I remember holding you at 5 weeks...we miss you and love you already! Give your mama kisses from me and tell her what a wonderful job she has done with you and your sister.
I can't believe it's been a year! I remember last January checking your blog often hoping for the first pictures of Abigail. She is such a beauty!
Shannon - thank you so much for the encouraging comment you left on my blog. It meant a great deal. I wanted to call you this evening, but Allison and I are under the weather again (cold and fevers) so we are headed to the doctor tomorrow. I would love to talk to you about photography at some point, though. Frank and I are actually planning a trip to College Station in the next month to visit family and we would love to meet up with you guys if you have time. Maybe then we could spend some time with our cameras since your girls are such beautiful subjects. Shoot me an email when you get a chance - kristinbarnett@gmail.com and we can work out some particulars! Thanks!
